The Untraceable University

"You never change things by fighting against the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the old model obsolete."

Buckminster Fuller

Overview

Between 2024-2029, the Untraceable University is focused on all the practical and logistical aspects of setting up the Untraceable University. We use an interdisciplinary approach built around the concept of pluriversality: embracing a participatory, collaborative, and situated method. For us, this means inviting a diverse network of collaborators and allowing everyone to tackle the same questions from their own perspective, acknowledging that there is not a single "best" route.

The network of collaborators are formed by the Thematic Action Committees, which are small groups of people that roll out a series of activities over the course of a number of years. These activities are split into two main streams of work:

Research

Research efforts include independent, decentralised research through existing university courses and degrees, as well as a consortium-based integrated research project. Read more about the research efforts here.

Education & Outreach

The goal of the Education and Outreach programme is to involve traditional students as well as a broader audience such as practitioners and the general public in more engaging conversations through a podcast series, local workshops, lectures, and the roll-out of a summer school programme.
